NYLA Scholarships Available
In the constantly changing library environment, continuing education and professional development activities are essential for library staff in order to keep abreast of trends in the profession. For the small and rural library without the benefit of a larger staff to share and exchange ideas it is particularly important.
Library conferences provide an excellent opportunity to network with others in the library community, participate in organized discussions, attend workshops, develop new skills and see the latest products, services and technology available.
Conference attendance can be pricey. Consider the typical costs involved for a two day stay:
| Registration | $150 - $225 |
| Hotel | $200 - $300 |
| Travel | $200 - $270 |
| Meals | $70 - $140 |
